 2nd Operation – Drilling, Threading, Slotting and Milling
Action Automatic Manufacturing runs a number of industrial drilling
machines which are setup for 2nd and 3rd operation processes. We have
several attachments including Threading and Tapping Heads and Double
Drilling Heads which can be fitted to the machines.
Also the 2nd operation area is equipped with a Drill Mill and an Overarm
Universal Mill. Both of these machines enable us to machine Flats, Slots,
Keyways and Recesses as well as drilling Cross Holes and Counter Boring.
The use of the 2nd operation area is sometimes more beneficial on
multi component items as it gives us more control over sequencing the
production processes rather than tying up the CNC machines on large numbers
of smaller items.
